Description
The Graycliff estate was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright (1867β1959) and was built between 1926 and 1931. It is located about 20 minutes south of downtown Buffalo, New York, at 6472 Old Lake Shore Road in Derby, New York. Sometimes called "The Jewel on the Lake", Graycliff is sited on a bluff overlooking Lake Erie with sweeping views of downtown Buffalo and the Ontario shore.[2]
Graycliff is one of the most ambitious and extensive summer estates Wright ever designed

I so enjoy architectural marvels by Frank Lloyd Wright , displays also Wrights closeness to his patrons. He had a thirty-three year relationship with the family of the Larkin Company executive and his wife, on of Wrights most loyal patrons. Frank was generations ahead in his unique architectural thinking and designs which have proven timeless , and treasured to this day. With Lake Erie just behind the structure , what magnificent views, and almost Japanese like water garden reflecting the beautiful lines of the home in it. Thanks for sharing this timeless , magnificent design with us all.
